My Honors Experience

The Honors College has been an amazing experience that I am proud to have been a part of for my undergraudate career. I was asked to write the opening letter of the Honors College's annual report Shine and Rise, which will be published below when the report is printed.

Honors Ambassadors

Honors Ambassadors serve as the face of the Honors College at recruiting events all over the Houston area. We are friendly faces who lend a helping hand to both prospective and current Honors students.

Notable Experiences:

  • I improved and applied my public speaking and networking skills.
  • I trained other students and helped them improve their public speaking skills.
  • I showed prospective students and parents that the Honors College is a great choice for their undergraduate career.

Notable Experiences:

  • I helped students cope with the stresses of college life, both academic and personal.
  • Many of the students I mentored are now involved and engaged in Honors student life.
  • I learned how to navigate the University of Houston's administrative processes to help students achieve their goals.
